New Trash Vendor for Cornelius!

Beginning July 1, the Town of Cornelius will be using a new vendor for garbage, yard waste and recycling collections - Republic Services.

There will be new carts delivered to all homes - a green 96-gallon cart for garbage and a blue 64-gallon cart for recycling. The cart deliveries start on June 16. Your old Waste Management carts and recycling bins will be picked up beginning June 24 (leave them out and visible for pickup). Start using your new Republic carts on July 1.

Garbage will be picked up on Thursdays each week, as it is now. Recycling will only be picked up every two weeks, every other Thursday.
